Alan Chertok – Associate

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Alan Chertok served some 30+ years as career law enforcement professional, having served in 11 police agencies at the town, city, county, state and federal levels. His career organization was with the Prince George’s County (MD) police, where he progressed through the ranks and retiring as captain in 1995. In his terminal assignment in the Planning and Research Division; he helped take the department through international accreditation conferred by the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). Immediately following retirement Chertok became a command major with the Newport News (VA) Police. Chertok’s most recent position was civilian Administrative Specialist with the Tequesta (FL) Police Department.

He has worked as a contractor in law enforcement projects in the in the Western Hemisphere, including Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, Peru and Haiti. He served in similar projects in Africa, including Mali, Niger and Liberia

Chertok served in the US Naval Reserves intelligence community, beginning his career in 1986 and retiring in 2011. During his tenure in the USNR he served apx. seven years as a credentialed reserve agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS)

Educationally, he holds an MS, Criminal Justice, University of Baltimore, Baltimore MD, an MA, Personnel Supervision, Central Michigan University, Andrews AFB MD campus. He served as the 11th J. William Fulbright Fellow in United Kingdom Police Studies, Staffordshire University, Stafford England. He took his legal education at the Gonzaga University Law School in Spokane WA and is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.

Chertok resides in Brevard County Florida.
